Role Overview

At Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia, I helped the Research & Development team to design consumer electronics for the Indonesian markets, including washing machine, freezer and water pump, ensuring the designs met user needs and behaviors specific to the target user.

My work includes designing a Point-Of-Purchase (POP) displays, researching trends and suitable Colors, Materials and Finishing (CMF) for their upcoming product, and helping to build physical mockups for user testing. Additionally, I created graphics and visual assets to support special projects and a new product launch.

Reflection

My short internship in one of the biggest consumer electronics company taught me the importance of keeping the user at the center, even in a mass-production industry and the connection of design to different disciplines. I experienced firsthand the multidisciplinary collaboration it takes to bring a product to life. This includes working with marketing on visuals, engineers on design and color, factories on feaasbility, and business planning on market demand. This experience sharpened my skills in collaboration, adaptibility and business design, which gave me a solid foundation for my future in Industrial Design professional industry.
